Modified Sine Wave Power Inverters

This type of power inverter uses a modified squarish sine wave that is produced in the output. This is the most common type of power inverter and is compatible with approximately 90% of all electronics/tools/appliances that the average person will use. Modified sine wave inverters are typically 50% or more cheaper than true sine wave. When analyzing the wave, it will not be identical to the same output wave found in a regular home ac outlet, but it will be close enough, and it will run most things fine.

For applications like microwaves, power tools, tvs, dvd players, vacuums, pumps, etc.. you shouldn't notice the difference at all. Some higher end applications possibly but it is best to contact the manufacturer as some modified sine waves are better quality than others.
